Italy & Greece -- 2010
What a trip! Nine days of ancient ruins, breathtaking artwork, stunning cathedrals, and Mediterranean cuisine. Highlights included climbing the steps to the top of the Duomo in Florence, and a walking tour of Rome that took us to the Colosseum, the Forum Romanum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. The island of Capri provided a quick but relaxing break before moving on to the ruins at Pompeii. In Greece, we toured Delphi and Mycenae and the Acropolis. The Plaka district of Athens was a fun place to shop and eat. Students made some great connections with what they had learned in World History classses.
